Agency Overview
An Agency Profile is finished once all of the contact information, cultural competencies and profile narrative are complete. The Agency Profile will be marked as “unpublished” and will not be viewable by the public until it is reviewed by the National Adoption Center staff. If there are any questions or concerns about the profile, you will be contacted. Otherwise it will be published and then be available for viewing.
Families will be reviewing the Agency Profile and deciding to work with your agency or not based upon what they see. During this reviewing time they may have questions. They are encouraged to contact your agency through the AdoptMatch messaging system. Each time you log into the system you will have an alert as to how many messages you have received. This alert is in the upper right-hand corner and says “Messages”. Just click on the link and you will be taken to the messages. You will read them and reply back like you do using any other email system.
If your agency changes focus (like adding an additional country to adopt from) you should update your agency’s profile. Do this by going to “My Profile” and clicking on the “Edit Profile” tab. Remember to click the “Save” button at the bottom of the page!
If the contact person or email address needs to be changed, you can do that too. Do this by going to “My Profile” and clicking on the “Edit Account” tab. Remember to click the “Save” button at the bottom of the page!
